Our Church family had an opportunity to "commune" together for a weekend in June on the beautiful Wild Side site of Camp Imadene. Tents, campers and high-end trailers were spread throughout Wild Side. When asked what they thought of the weekend, here is what one happy camper couple said (namely John Cordts & Linda Kerr)...
"Wow! We are thanking God for the gift of an awesome and inspiring weekend surrounded by the beauty of His creation and our precious church family. It was a time of fun, fellowship, worship and getting to know people in our church in a true 'family' way. We played, worshipped, ate, hiked, swam, had campfires and sang together, all in the midst of God's glorious creation. As a family should be, there were no distinctions between age groups. Everything was all inclusive and we felt very blessed that families welcomed us to share the joy of having time with them and their children. We now know some people that we did not know before, and we feel so much closer to the ones that we already knew. Praising God for the weekend, the beauty of the great outdoors, and His (our) family. If you ask us if we want to do this again, our answer would be, DEFINATELY! We would encourage the rest of our church family, regardless of age, to join us in the next one too!"
Perhaps this is an event we as a church family can grow into. It certainly sparked new friendships and solidified already rooted ones. How about another one, camp organizers, Jen & Jon?!
